I didn't realize there were 50k training plans. I've never really thought to use anything like that and run a bit more spontaneous, but I can imagine it'd prepare you pretty well!!

One thing I did NOT do last year, but will do this year: run Wabash / Mopac a couple of times. The first 23 miles are on Mopac, it's much different than pavement/trail. Just my two pennies...
