The mutt and I just trotted along, as Katherine had a headache this morning and we therefore got out there at the crack of noon. So it was a little warm, but not too bad. Stopped at the doggie aid ... read more

good Easy - Redmond Loop 8.16 mi 01:04 07:54 pace
Playing with Runkeeper and my newish Pebble (www.getpebble.com) watch. Does the job, I guess, if you already carry a phone with you (which I don't). It won't be replacing my Garmin FR610 ... read more

good Recovery - Farrell-McW w/Ursa 6.01 mi 00:51 08:30 pace
Easy dog jog in the woods. We left the nice horsey alone as we walked by, instead of option #2: lunge, attack, and have horse steaks for supper. Ursa knows where the tasty poop comes from.

Never had horse steak. Good on you and Ursa for leaving him alone. :+)

good Easy - SRT w/Ursa 5.32 mi 00:41 07:42 pace
Easy run with the mutt to try out my new New Balance MT20V2 trail shoes. So far so good, thought the Sammamish River Trail barely qualifies for trail duty.

Easy - SRT->Marymoor w/Ursa 10.11 mi 01:18 07:43 pace
Katherine, the dogs and I got out there at the crack of noon, so I questioned if the temp would be too much for the mutt at 60F-ish. She got warm, but we stopped a few times at the doggie aid stati... read more

alright Recovery - High School Loop w... 4.01 mi 00:37 09:12 pace
Ursa doesn't wear out, but she does get overheated. In today's 70F/21C "heat", that happened at 3 miles. She just ground to a walk. So we walked for a bit, we ran for a bit, wal... read more

You don't? I can see follow Ursa's lead and cool yourself by sticking your tongue out. Nothing wrong with that. Would be wrong to eat poop like she does though. :+\ Just saying! :+)

blah Recovery - SRT w/Ursa 5.38 mi 00:44 08:09 pace
The plan was 10 miles. *phffft*, we piddled too long and didn't get out the door until 10:00, by which time it was getting warm. I'd drop Ursa off with Katherine around 5 or 6 miles, then... read more

good Snoqualmie Cinco de Mayo 8K 4.99 mi 00:31 06:11 pace
Today's lesson is on pacing. See that 6:11 average pace? Yeah, it's a little slower than I'm used to. I blame the 5:50 opening mile. Oops. I have no idea what went wrong. The first m... read more

I'm still impressed! The first mile is always slower for me because it takes a half a mile or so to get psyched up about whatever that days' run is. Hope the next race is even better.

Same problem with our black lab... she will stop and sit in the shade on regular walks, even if it's 6-7 PM. The sun is "too much" for her :)

Trimmed off anyone on my friends list that hasn't posted in a year. Now my girls-to-boys ratio is 2:1. I swear I'm not the creepy old man cruisin' the ladies. :-)

Makes me wonder what the ratio of men to women on DM is in the first place. The creepy guy here that I knew of had something like 300 women and 2 men, one of whom was believed to be his own alter-ego.
