  1. RUN
    606 6.54 mi 00:55 08:24 pace

For those of you who thought Chicago was flat, I encourage you to run on the 606. Lots of rolling (albeit small) hills. Definitely not flat.

  2. RUN
Chicken Parm Run 6.51 mi 00:56 08:32 pace

This humid and windy run is dedicated to the chicken parm sandwich I just inhaled.

  3. RUN
    BONK! 5.45 mi 00:47 08:35 pace

Hardcore bonk on National Running Day. Hydration, or lack thereof seemed to be the cause. Hung my head and called an uber home.

legit long run 8.93 mi 01:17 08:36 pace

upping my time on the lake path. Those 3 miles were glorious. The rest... eh. For those interested, Big Star's patio was already 80% full as of an hour ago.

  5. RUN

6 miles getting to and from the lake path. 0.53 miles on the lake path.

Ugh, that would suck. Sometimes I think my mile to get to the path is too much. I just need a lakefront condo.

Taking the bus to go run seems wrong, but I long for not having to start/stop for 3 miles. Plus no water.

Just start running 20 milers again, that should get you more time on the lakefront.

It's the worst. I've been taking the bus to the lakefront and running home (to beat the horrific rush hour traffic) Can't wait for the 606 to open!

back to work 3.95 mi 00:33 08:15 pace

Kids. Love them, but they manage to find the gnarlyist viruses and then infect everyone they come in contact with. Getting back to running today after recovering (mostly) from the latest outbreak. ... read more

Beautiful day out there today. Get after it.

  8. RUN

This little piggy ran long before going to Cochon 555

  10. RUN

Not to get sentimental, but man, there is nothing like running on the lakefront path and staring down the city.

  11. RUN
    Windy City 3.11 mi 00:27 08:34 pace

Officially, wind was 25mph out of the west. However, I faced gusting headwinds the majority of my North-South route.

    Sunday miles before burgers.

  13. VELO
    mileage padding 19.6 mi 01:27 13.5mph pace

Felt really strong going southbound. Failed to realize it was +20mph tailwind, not a miracle jump in fitness. Northbound was painful. Only almost died twice riding down Division to get to the lakef... read more

    5 for 5 3.31 mi 00:28 08:36 pace

There's nothing like the smell of new running shoes (and fantastic Chicago Spring weather) to motivate you to go for a run. I ran my first race in 2001 in a pair of New Balance shoes and dropp... read more
