  1. Four Bridges is out. Just haven't been able to get any real miles in and the last thing I want to do is rush my training. Just taking it slow with no real goals at the moment other than keepin... read more

  2. FIT
    good Work Gym 00:40

  3. VELO
good Lake Natomas 13 mi 00:30 26.0mph pace

Felt good, not real sure on the time or distance. Just a guess. Can't find my Garmin and don't have my cycle computer hooked up.

  4. RUN
good Lake Natoma 3 miler or so 3.5 mi 00:31 08:51 pace

Fun run with the FTR group. My achilles/ankle still bothering me so 3 miles is about my limit right now.

  5. Been focusing more on weight/strength training. Runs here and there. Will start upping my run frequency/miles. I feel like such a loser though, it's one of the mildest summers we've ever ... read more

  8. RUN
good Treadmill at work 2.25 mi 00:18 08:00 pace

Already hot and sweaty following my barefoot run decided to hit the treadmill before showering. Started slow then upped the speed to an 8 then elevation up to 5.

  9. RUN
good Barefoot Intervals 2 mi 00:16 08:00 pace

Just a guess on the distance and pace. I'm thinking I did 10 to 12 laps around the field but it wasn't a full 400. Strides down one side of the field then recovery pace the rest the way. ... read more

  10. Barefoot intervals on fake grass in the morning. This will be my first experiment with that. Any advice?

  11. RUN

Fun race, beat my last time on this same course by 15 seconds.

  12. Signing up for a half to get my butt training again. Last half was a very slow effort with a very inflamed IT band. Hoping this one goes better.

Sounds like fun! How are you managing your IT band nowadays? My right side one messed up pretty bad but I keep it under control with the foam roller and the PT brand band.

Jose, I haven't had much problem with my IT band in awhile. Had a bad case of runners knee which forced a couple months of rest. I ry to do some dynamic stretching of my hips/glutes before the runs and this seems to help. I found that the problem wasn't in the knee (that's just where the pain was) but up in my glute/hip area. As soon as I got that area to relax my IT flareup went away.

  13. RUN
    Intel GPTW 5K 3.16 mi 00:25 07:53 pace

Decent run, have a ways to go to get back to a 21 min 5K.

  14. RUN
    alright 3 mi 00:24 08:00 pace

Seriously tight calves, still sore from last weekend. The hills really beat me up as well but it was fun to be back out running!

  15. RUN
Reno Tahoe Odyssey leg 10? 4.74 mi 00:40 08:23 pace

Nice run, got passed with about 200 yards to go which sucked but he was running a minute a mile faster than me so what could I do.

  16. RUN
great Reno Tahoe Odyssey leg 22 5.57 mi 00:49 08:47 pace

Goregous moonlit run with the coyotes howling and nice temperatures. I could get used to running at 3AM if they were all like this.

  17. RUN
Reno Tahoe Odyssey Leg 34 7.47 mi 01:09 09:11 pace

This was the toughest run I've done in awhile simply because I have no conditioning following my time off.

  18. RUN
    good The neigborhood with a quick ... 3.83 mi 00:35 09:15 pace

    sure feel slow

  19. RUN
    good 3 mi 00:28 09:20 pace

First run back on the road, ran with Nala dog and some stray followed us for a mile or so and made controlling Nala a little tough. Felt like I was going pretty fast but apparently not. Got a ways ... read more
