Today's early morning workout was timed intervals, punctuated with airhorn blasts. I like this one because I'm actually synchronized with everyone else, vs. distance intervals where I have to spend extra time catching up. Got there early and so I did an extra mile warmup and then it was 16 x (1:30/0:30) speed intervals, followed by a half mile cool down.

Some of the runners had done the Minnesota Ragnar Relay last weekend - I'm impressed that they could have such snappy speedwork so soon afterwards!

    Great work getting there early and getting a head start - nice miles. I don’t think I could handle the early AM air horn.

    Sounds like you had fun, Mike! Reminds me of when I was swimming regularly. The coach would give me a less loaded workout, as everyone else was so much faster! It would have taken me twice the time to do their workouts :-)
