Sticking with the trainer - seems to be suiting me well and I don't want to press my luck with running yet. This ride was way back this morning, although I suppose that with indoor rides, time of day doesn't matter a whole lot. But best to get it done first when the day threatens to get away from me.

Good move, Mike - keep riding and give the hammy more time to heal than you think it needs. With you on the benefit of the morning workout - get 'er done and move on.

Smart to do this in the morning. It's hard to motivate in the evening. And yes, stay conservative on the running. You're doing great with cardio. It'll be good long term.

Smart to ride, and smart to get it done before the day gets away from you. You're a smart guy, Mike :).

Yep - get it done before you talk yourself out of it.

Thanks everyone - I am definitely getting antsy. The biking is going well, but every time I think it's time to run the knee complains just enough to remind me to hold off.

Knees have a way of doing that, don't they.

The best way to test your hamstring is to shorten your stride and walk hills. If there are no obvious issues with the knee or hammy, then lengthen your stride and walk more hills. It's a rinse & repeat process until you're certain that the hamstrings are healed. Nice miles on the bike, Mike
