If the goal of some types of training is to suffer a lot during the run but to get through without injury, then today was an excellent example of that type! Man that hurt, but I kept going. Pulled out two 5:50s for the 2nd and 3rd kms. The end I felt so slow and burning, but somehow was clocking between 6:15 and 6:19 (top end of my base pace). Thought my garmin was wobbly but nope, looks like that's what I ran. Well on track for a good race on 25 May.

    Great work Mike. Yes suffering is a great part of training as that mental preparation is oh so helpful for race day. :-)
