:'( Today's run convinced me I have to give up any notion of running a sub 4:00 marathon in mid June. If I'm struggling to run base pace for 5km 10 weeks out, that's not good. But I looked back on my logs from last marathon and I'm doing better & faster than then, so I'll not give up on running the Perth Marathon yet. Spent the last week rehabbing my knee. Outside of hip, inside of knee & outside of ankle all on my right leg were in pain this last week, so the problem was my medial knee muscles. Feeling better today, but I've lost a lot of fitness from the stop start training. I've been walking over the break, but it's not the same. Missed out on an awesome 10K race yesterday too, so things are a bit down at the moment, but I'll bounce back.
