Kengar - RCT 7.82 mi 01:10 08:54 pace

Run with XMP group, plan was 2mile at LSD pace (9:15-9-30), 4 miles at marathon pace (8:23) and 2 miles at LSD pace.Splits on my Garmin are: 9:13, 9:10, 8:26, 8:27, 8:31, 8:30, 9:32, 9:34. I guess it is pointless to say that it was hot and humid. Great company!

Do you set your Garmin up so that it prompts you if you aren't running those paces at those miles?! I gotta a new Garmin but of course I don't know how to program it yet. Just wondering...

@Diane, don't tell people here but I don't really know how to use all the features of my Garmin, I just look on the screen my last mile pace, instant pace and average pace...

@Diane - I have that virtual training feature on mine (Garmin 610) as well, but I think it's overkill for the watch every 30 seconds to tell you that you are going too slow. Takes the fun out of running for me. For me, I have my watch screen when I run show me four basic things on the screen: 1) Top Quadrant: Distance Ran. 2) Left Quadrant: Timer. 3)Right Quadrant: Current Pace.. 4) Bottom Quadrant:Heart Rate. I also have the "clock page" turned off.

Yeah the humidity is getting super old. Great run here with the pace changes included.
