Today's bike ride is brought to you by blue skies, the sun shining and Michelle needing to get her ride on. I have decided to give my hammy a rest this week, so riding my bike outside seemed cool. I rode up Ocean Parkway, did 1 loop in Prospect Park and then rode back home. Man, my riding mojo is missing a bit. I loved the ride, but I am pathetically slow on the bike. Then in the park during the uphill part, I felt as if I was hardly moving at all. I have a duathlon the end of March, so I need to ride more.
15.62 miles in 1.37.16 9.64 mph. I did not stop my garmin at any of the 3 million red lights I had to stop at. BLERGH.
I call this Hey Soul Sister Bike Ride because today is a friend of mine's birthday. She has the same leukemia as my mom, so each birthday is great!!! I wrote this on her facebook:
Happy Birthday Karen my friend. A birthday is just the first day of another 365-day journey around the sun. Enjoy the trip.
