good LSD Run 10.75 Miles 10.75 mi 01:55 10:40 pace

I really feel as though I sabotaged this run before it even began. I wanted to get this run done early, but the moment I stepped outside it was a downpour. So I came home, ate french toast, cleaned the kitchen and got ready to run again. Went outside and boom, downpour. I waited it out a bit and then started thinking how silly is this? JUST DO IT MICHELLE. So, finally I got it done. I have to say a long run like this is really so much better with company. I was supposed to do this run with a friend but because of the weather we decided to stay local and meet up next week for a long run!!

10.75 miles 1.54.45 10.40 min/mile
10.07, 10.31, 10.27, 10.16, 10.32, 10.44, 10.39, 10.32, 11.46, 11.51, 7.16 (.75)

I was feeling really good up until 8 miles that I hit in 1.23.48 which is 23 seconds faster than my last 8 miler so I was feeling confident. Then I stopped to walk 1 minute and that was my mistake because I couldn't get moving again, which is evident in the last splits.

I feel good that I completed the run, because at 2 miles in I was mentally not happy. At 4.5 miles I stopped Barney to buy a gatorade which I drank down pretty quickly.

My legs feel fine now. No hamstring pain. All is good. Now FOOD!

You are a tougher lady than I! I wimped out yesterday and ran my 10.5 at the gym because I wasn't going to run in a cold rain. Way to go! Glad the hamstring is good even after this long run. You're a trooper!

I think the best part of days like this is the eating after the run!!! But you did a fantastic job, Michelle! You could have just skipped it, but you got out there and got it done well.

It's possible the rain may now fear you. It doesn't sound like the most lovely conditions, yet you conquered. I wouldn't be surprised to see the rain leave you alone for awhile! :D

I salute you for your perseverance! Its nice that you were able to ultimately get yourself out that door (I would have likely stayed in and call it day - lol). Great running as always! Glad to hear the hammies are good!
