Slow & Low That Is the Tempo 18.14 mi 02:56 09:41 pace

Goal for today--put it in a low gear & crank out the miles. I am very happy with the consistency of my splits--nothing faster than 9:35 or slower than 9:55 with most miles falling squarely in the 9:40s (goal was 9:50). We took one break after the 1st loop (15K) for extra hydration & electrolytes and the 2nd loop got pretty hot. I feel great--better than El Scorcho & without the slow down in the later miles.

Lots of great sights at WRL including a very bold coyote wandering amongst people. A city coyote! I'm especially grateful for the breeze coming off the lake. It saved me several times.
