My first bike rally and longest ride to date and it couldn't have gone much better! A little but scary at first with all the people close together, but serious fun once I settled down and got comfortable. It was a beautiful morning in the Texas countryside. Add in Dublin Dr Pepper (the REAL stuff) & homemade baked goods at the rest stops & I am one happy girl. I might have been talked into the Hotten 'N Hell 50 in August.
I still have so much to learn--who gets passed on downhills & then passes people on uphills? Apparently I do!!


Nice work - re: uphill and downhill, I read that you should imagine yourself to have yor foot evenly on the gas at all times instead of expending energy on uphills and gliding on downhills. I haven't figured it out, but that's what I read...
