Hot Chocolate 15K 9.43 mi 01:23 08:49 pace

The traffic was crazy getting in and I started to wonder if we would even make it. Getting 10,000 people into Fair Park is always tricky and I think the race could have managed the gates a little better. We ran up as the race was starting, which is a departure from my routine but might have been nice since the wind chill was in the teens.

I really enjoyed the course and it was perfectly set-up to block the wind. A few hills midrace & end of race made things interesting. My goal was to keep it steady & hit negative splits--according to the race results I did just that! Hooray!

The post race chocolate was good, but I am more of a beer runner girl.
