Met my friends at 7 am, and we braved the "feels like 2*" temps together for 6 miles. I ran another 4 outside alone, then ran 10 on the mill. I swear I get hungrier when I run in the cold!
My plan has me running 11:56 minute miles at the marathon. I know that sounds crazy slow, but it's faster than my first marathon. My goal today was to run 20 at 11:56, and I'm delighted that I surpassed my goal pace!

You are amazing, Michele! AWESOME job on your 20 miles, and you killed your marathon goal pace!! You rock!

If you can run all this at below goal pace you are going to knock off even more time during the race! Outstanding LSD!

By the way, your body burns way more calories when it's cold so you do really get hungrier!

Smart running, Michele! Good job getting as many miles as you did outside--those are tough running conditions! And you got a great long run done--fabulous!

Good luck on it! I'm sure you will do great since you are already up to 20 miles this early in training. I've been contemplating doing that one as a half.
