certainly not my best time ever, but better than I thought it would be considering recent circumstances. Probably would've walked a lot if it weren't for my brother running with me... we... read more

  5. RUN
    blah 2 mi 00:24 11:49 pace

Got a late start, but at least I did something. Feeling majorly unprepared for Saturday's 5K, but I'll make the most of it.

  6. RUN
    tired 2.63 mi 00:34 12:49 pace

  8. RUN
tired OKC Memorial Half Marathon 13.1 mi 02:45 12:34 pace

It was the best of times... It was the worst of times. Thank God it's over and done! In memory of Aunt Pati and Grandma Rathjen... Otherwise I probably would have just stayed in bed today.

  9. RUN
    blah 5 mi 00:56 11:10 pace

Training has gone downhill fast... Haven't done a long run in about a month, and the race is 2 weeks away. It may end up being the worst day of my life (physically). Ugh.

I totally get it. Been sick for 2 weeks and just now getting back to running. Feels like I'm starting from scratch. I still have four weeks 'til my half. Hang in there, and just go into the half with the plan to enjoy it and do the best you can!

don't be anxious about what you have not done, instead focus on what you have accomplished ... enjoy the run and remember why you like to run!

much less wind than yesterday - yay! feeling pretty tired, and think I'm going to be very unprepared for this race on May 1. I'll suck it up and do my best, though.
