Stephanie - I usually run at 6.3 for 2 min as an active recovery. I'm eventually going to lower the recovery time and increase the recovery pace a bit. And yes...on treadmill with a low incline. Helps me keep a steady pace and forces me to hold it!

thanks michelle! I have been doing 400s on the treadmill but I do a 200 meter recovery at an 8:30 pace. So, I'm thinking maybe I should do an easier/longer recovery for now so that my 400s can be faster!

Steph - it just depends on what pace you are doing them at. I shoot for mile pace, so I usually do a longer recovery (2 min)...if I were doing them at a 5k pace (1:35) then I would shoot for a 60 sec recovery...
