good Securian Half Marathon 13.27 mi 01:37 07:18 pace

Not really in shape to run a quality half. I stayed pretty even, around 7:20 pace. The weather was excellent for January!

  2. RUN

    Easy 4

great To Madeline island and back 10.01 mi 01:33 09:19 pace

I've always thought it would be fun to drive on an ice road, but running on one closed to vehicles would be even better! Cool run!!

  6. RUN
good Minnesota Fieldhouse 5.19 mi 00:45 08:35 pace

1 mile race with MDRA at the U of M. I probably started too slow. I haven't run much lately, so confidence was low. Managed a 5:33 mile.

Sounds like a good start; you'll probably be running 5Ks at that pace later in the year!

  10. RUN
    good 1500m Polar Dash 1.28 mi 00:07:47 06:04 pace

Ooops again Team Ortho. The 1500 meter turned out to be around 1900 meter. There was a steep long hill going to the turnarounds. A nice downhill on the way back. The 1500m* was after the 15*mil... read more

Ouch, an extra 400m in a 1500 sounds very painful! (Not to mention frustrating...)

great Polar dash 15 miler 14.34 mi 01:48 07:32 pace

I paced the 15 miler at 7:38/1:40 HM goal pace. My co-pacer and I averaged 7:33 pace, considering gps comes up about a tenth of a mile long.

Course came up short. But it was fun to pace!

  12. RUN
    good Polar Dash 5K 3.15 mi 00:28 08:56 pace

I was wrecked after the 15 miler and the 1500m. Took this one ez.

good LTF track 9.13 mi 01:04 07:03 pace

8 miles around 6:45 avg + a mile CD. My footpods battery must be dying. Footpod would show 6:40 pace then 10:00 pace. I timed these by lap time. Tough run but also felt good!

  17. RUN
good LTF track 8.02 mi 01:05 08:09 pace

Easy 8 with 7 pickups and 2 moderate miles

  18. RUN
    good Minnehaha Creek/Lake Harriet 14.03 mi 01:55 08:14 pace

Luckily Colin and I avoided most of the rain and snow. It was very slippery on the sidewalks but Minneapolis did a fine job of keeping the trails runable.

This is very impressive. I had a hard time running 9 min miles the other day. I really want to incorporate much more SLOW miles in the buildup for Boston.. True, recovery paced runs area good thing. Nicely done!
