The women's distance events in Athletics is getting tougher. The Kenyan team (men & women) are starting to change how to compete in the endurance events. Much more aggressive strategy earlier in the race is necessary to break their confidence.

      Hi Meseret,

In preparation for your racing season, what does your typical training week look like? not only in terms of weekly volume but in the balance of aerobic and anaerobic workouts. And lastly how do you maintain your peak during the racing season?

      Good Luck:

Tirunesh Dibaba did it in Beijing, that was spread over two weeks and the Worlds only lasts a week, so the recovery times in between would be a concern. It would be an awesome achievement, looking at the timescale. Good luck deciding Meseret!
