  1. walk
    good warm up/cool down 2 mi 00:30 15:00 pace

Mostly walking warm up/cool down (picked up packet, went back to car, went back to start; then after the race, stretched and walked to car).

  2. RUN
good Mt. Carbon 1/2 Marathon 13.2 mi 02:07 09:37 pace

I started too fast, which sort of bit me in the end, and I clearly need to come up with a better fueling strategy (boiled potatoes have been much discussed recently; I'm thinking they're ... read more

So, so, so cool that you ran (really well, too) a trail half!! I'm impressed that all that climbing didn't effect you.

      Jackie F. Nice Job
      Nice Job:

That's awesome - especially that the 1100 feet of climbing didn't affect you too much! My trail half last fall added 45-60 minutes to my half. So, under 10 minutes is AMAZING!

  3. walk
    good campus 3 mi

Actually, about a mile of it was on my boyfriend's bike. We were going to walk to class together, and when I realized I was running late, he loaned me his bike.

  4. RUN
good Tough tempo run 5 mi 00:43 08:41 pace

Tough, but I'm so glad I did it. 1 mile w/u at 9:28, 2 miles tempo at 7:50 and 7:43, 2 miles c/d at 9:13 and 9:16. And a personal development moment: a woman passed me during my second cool ... read more

  5. RUN
    great Multi-use trails 8.22 mi 01:14 08:58 pace

This was a completely fantastic run - perfect weather (sunny, light breeze, right around 60), gorgeous spring scenery, and except for the last half mile or so, it *felt* easy. I need more runs lik... read more

Way to go on your fantastic run. I love feeling like this. Sure wish it happened a little more often, though. Way to accomplish your goal, too!

    Splat-shaped run 6.01 mi 00:53 08:50 pace

I'd planned to fun up a few mountains today, but for various reasons, that didn't happen. Instead, I got in a nice run on the multi-use trails. My route was a figure-8 with several out-... read more

  7. walk
    tired class 1.8 mi

I wanted to run today, but between getting only 3 hours of sleep last night and looming thunderstorms, it's just not going to happen.

  8. RUN
great Boulder Creek 3.25 mi 00:29 08:48 pace

A really short run (because I have way too much homework tonight, but I really, really wanted to go for a run). It was a practically perfect evening, except for being rather buggy. I guess maybe ... read more

It's been way too long since I did any specific strength training, so I'm bringing it back. Today's was just some core work followed by lower body stretching because I've got a... read more
