    First outdoor run and only 2nd run in a year. Slow but felt pretty ok.

    First run after a 7 month dry spell. Thought I might never run again but I didn't want to give up. Plus the evening snack and adult beverage will be more enjoyable now.

      Yay! Starting after a hiatus is so hard. The guilt-free eating is my favorite part of running. :)

      I'll have to try that, Jim. I used to have a training schedule that I used to keep me on track, but i felt so much internal pressure to keep it that it became a monkey on my back and not enjoyable. Keeping shorter goals, like week by week, might help ease me back in. I'm also not posting runs on facebook. That was pressure too and I felt bad if I didn't have a good run.

      Great job! the first mile back is always the hardest ( I can't imagine how I'm going to feel after 5 months off!)

    Met Abe up at the gym. Did the kind of elliptical that has a program that has you do different things, like squat and go in reverse. Could feel it for sure. Then did some weights.

    Walked the kids to the park and store as part of my xtraining today. It was a bit hotter than I had anticipated. Kids had a blast.

    Ran with the kids. Longest run with them in a while. 4/1 ratio kept me going. Because the kids kept dropping their snacks, the Runkeeper app measured this as 3.94, but I know it's over 3 miles.
