    Did a Jillian Michaels DVD that I downloaded on Amazon Instant. A great way to get a little strength training in there, and I definitely feel it the next day so I know it's working :)

    Amazing pace for the first 2 miles (cut an entire minute off my mile)! The last mile ruined the whole run for me. Severe cramping in my shins, and numbness & tingling in my left foot. Grrr!

      I went to see sports medicine about six months ago. Maybe it's time I schedule a follow up appt.!

      Ya. If your having that type of pain and problem after two miles, something isn't going as it should... plus it is not allowing you the full pleasure associated with running. Hoping this works out for you, Megan.

    Had to interval about halfway through because of these damn shin splints. Daily routine of ice, stretching, and strength training lower leg muscles. MUST be better by the beginning of May!

      Hey there! See you got some milage on your chart, Megan. Do you use orthotics? They can be very helpful for shin splints.

      Haven't tried orthotics, but am thinking of looking in to them. I have a stretching & strengthening routine from sports medicine I'm starting to see if that helps also. Thanks for the suggestion!
