My calf seems like it may be slightly strained so I wanted to take it really easy today. Nice day outside, so it was a good opportunity to give the new dog a test run. She blew my mind. I intended to take her out for 3 miles, then switch dogs, but she was eager to keep going. I kept her out for 7.1 before coming in, switching dogs and going out with the 8 year old english cocker. He's slowing down... I felt like I was dragging him the three I took him and those miles are pokier. Then I got back and the 9 lb rat terrier was asking to go back out for more. So I obliged and took her for the remaining 3. Aught to have some tired dogs today. Cupcake is an AMAZING running partner. She didn't even poo at all during the 10 miles she ran. I think I found a new running buddy!

good for you and the dogs! 10 miles for cupcake!!

I am training with a new Hound Eddie and he promises to be a good runner. Surprisingly a few years back I ran with a Big Male Newfoundland Dog who was amazing and could run ultra distance easily. He Died at 15yrs way older than average for the breed.

Wow, Spence! My husband is really into big dogs, Newf's being one of them. That's amazing, both how well he ran and how long he lived (no coincidence, I'm sure!)
