thanks Kim. Starting with small targets, aiming to increase the average daily steps by 1000 per week until I break the 10,000. This excludes all other exercise, my logic being that if I can work out a routine that includes 10,000 daily steps at a minimum then that is a good foundation.

RUN
great 2500 steps 00:10:00
decided to get off the sofa for the final 10 minutes of the football game I was watching and jog on the spot. According to my fitbit, this worked out to be 2500 steps.

thanks guys.
@Spike - good advice. Fixing my sleeping pattern has also been a 2013 resolution. In general it has improved but lots of opportunity to get better. Exercising again makes me tired in the evenings so actually hitting the sack before midnight is feeling right again

Also kinda hoping that discovering this app that is connected to dailymile helps me to remember to update

Well Hello again, Dailymile. I think a month of birthday celebrations is enough time away from exercise and I have returned. Time to get active again. Hope you have all been well.
