    good Hospital Fitness Trail 4 mi 00:35 08:49 pace

    Ran the hospital fitness trail, stopping at different points to do exercises such as: pull-ups, push-ups, various abs, etc. Definitely raised the heart rate and smoked the core!

      Sounds like the old trails around Bragg. Too bad they dont maintain those work stations anymore. Its a great way to get a total body workout in while "on the run." Nice work, Mark!

    Kept the pace nice and easy. Right knee has been feeling like there is some tendinitis or something along the inner portion. Ran with a tendinitis strap to see if it helps.

      Change up your shoes. Not sure what shoes I left at your place, but try a pair of mine (Brooks Cascadia, Asics Kayano). A quality stability shoe might help with the strain on the knee.

      Thanks! Strap seems to be working wonders. I wear the strap while I run and a neoprene brace throughout the day. Additionally, I am wearing better shoes. I'm wondering if hammering some of those trail hills is what aggravated it. Knee is definitely feeling much better. I don't know if it is from tendonitis or old strains. Either way, I want to keep training while at the same time not creating further injury.

      now you're just rubbing it in with the temps....93 degrees as I read this. I doubt I'll ever be an afternoon runner. Something in my history that makes me run as the sun is rising....Nice work tonight Mark! DOL.

      Every day on the Green Side is a good day! I'm grateful for my family and try not to stress my wife out any more than I have to. She understands that I'm wired to constantly test myself and push for new challenges. I don't force her to ride with me on my bike, and periodically, she just says, hey, I'll ride with you. She doesn't like my bike, but once again, she understands that I've been riding my whole life and wind in my face (on my helmet) relaxes me. Life's good! Give and Take! I LOVE HER!

      I love all the homade specialty dishes by my cousins, aunts and others...hard to only eat a little. And then there is the hand cranked vanilla and chocolate ice cream! Have to go back for seconds! Combine that with my wife's cooking...I have to run!!!
      I love the coolness of night (kind of cool; still 78 degrees) and being able to relax without looking at the watch...the head lamp just puts you in another enjoyable world...
