  3. RUN
Covenant Hills Trails 4 mi 00:40 09:54 pace

Easy does it...lots of rain this morning left some sections of the trail soupy and a few others were slick as grease that I had to skate across...made the run challenging and fun!

  4. RUN

Warm up run with my daughter

  5. RUN
    Cov't Hills 3.3 mi 00:36 10:54 pace

Ran just over a mile and a quarter with my daughter(quality time), then another two on my own...really picked up the pace when a golf cart came up behind me on the trail; lost him at a fork.

  6. RUN
    Cov't Hills 4 mi 00:39 09:41 pace

Relaxed holding the pace down. Trails still had some very muddy sections from the rain yesterday. I only saw one set of foot prints out there...then I realized these were mine from last night still... read more

  12. RUN
Covenant Hills Trails 5 mi 00:48 09:31 pace

Nice and slow...I remember why they call this place "The Hills." A few down trees to leap over and plenty of uneven terrain...feels good to be back on the trails!

  13. RUN
    good 3 mi 00:26 08:49 pace

Wimped out and took the shorter route...still better than not running! Trying to get back into a routine after so much time off.

Nothing "wimpy" about running with a combat diver! Way to get it done this morning, Mark!

Riding my daughter on the banana seat and handlebars of my 60s Schwinn Stingray. Good exercise for me and she loves to ride.

Post pics of you on that Schwin! I think I had one of those too when I was a kid!

Will do! I'll try to take some tomorrow! I have 5 Stingrays, each one a different color. I had them powder coated with metal flake colors. My wife's is metal flake orange... I have two fastback 5 speeds, one blue (all original) and the other a bright metal flake red...one metal flake dark green with the springer front end and 16" tire...one five speed with Ram Horn Shifter, that I have torn apart to have powder coated. I'm looking at going with a metal flake dark plum purple. My daughter has a pink one.

I also have the ram horn shifter for my red fastback, but I put on the thumb shifter for ease of shifting.

Welcome back! I've been a little crippled up with a sore heel (plantar fasciitis), so haven't been logging many miles lately. Decided to get in a few short bike rides instead. Hopefully, I'll still be in good shape when I get to Michigan so I can hang with you.

You need some good trail runs to heal and strengthen your feet! BTW: I've also been doing some nice short bike rides on my StingRay! Yanishel loves riding on the front of my banana seat holding the high rise handle bars. We all did a family ride to the cone zone on Sun with Chad & Kim...everyone except Sam rode Stingrays. We got a lot of good looks from people!

I don't think you've ever had a problem hanging with me! I do feel the need to burn off about 20 lbs before you get here...doubt I'll make it! 20 lbs equals about 1 min pr mile pace difference. I'm just grateful I'm still breaking 9s.

I dropped 5 lbs between July and December last year. So far this year I've dropped an additional 12 lbs. I'm down to about 170, which is the lightest I've been since I was in my 20's (1980s).
