Filled in my hour lunch break to the fullest today. Nothing fancy or super exciting about the run itself. The only excitement is when I heard a woman yelling for her dog, I looked over my shoulder and saw this little dog (sorry not a dog person no idea what it was) running down the middle of Ella Grasso Pkwy towards me. So I stopped and ran back into the road and swooped him up. My reward was getting my face licked (by the dog). I also had my first "Run Forrest" yelled at me today and someone got mad at me and grunted at me for running past and scaring some birds. Ok so maybe the run was a little more exciting than my normal ones....

That kind of excitement is ok!

aww how cute! You saved a dog!!! You're probably a hero to that lady.... I couldn't imagine my little guy running down a road! I'd be so scared, he's hard to catch:)

Years ago, there was a bored dog on a regular route I ran. A lot of times he would pace me while I studiously ignored him. Finally one day he tangled himself in my feet and tripped me. That was hard to ignore.

Lol. When do you eat lunch of you always run during your lunch time. And how do you go back to work after a run? Friend of mine (high level executive) would bike 30 miles in to work and just use baby wipes. Thought that was a little too much, lol.

Great run, Mark! I'm glad it was a small, friendly dog!

@Bob - agree 100%. cant complain when it comes to cute pups and people talking to birds. @Joelle - i had it a little easy since he was running at me. If i had to chase him down maybe a little tougher task. @Ramsey - im lucky enough to work from home and have a great boss that understands my running affliction/addiction. I do find myself still in my running clothes for a while after the run though....
