Skipped the island, so shaved off maybe half a mile.

RUN
great To Grammy's and back. 3 mi 00:45 15:00 pace
Awesome wind, new playlist, farthest I've ever ran. Stopped to walk twice. Love the view along the golf course.

alright Neighborhood hobbling ass loop. 1 mi 00:16 16:19 pace
Tried to run for a little while, got a huge cramp. Walked very slowly for the rest of the mile. At least it was pretty outside!

RUN
blah Neighborhood Loop 1 mi 00:12:15 12:15 pace
Would have been awesome except for the ridiculous cramp. Ran too close to dinner again. Paused twice to stretch/breathe. But! It was something.

RUN
blah Neighborhood Loop 1 mi 00:10:26 10:26 pace
Ran and then cooled down another three minutes afterwords while DYING thanks to running on a huge glass of water and a huge bowl of lo mein. HOW DO I JUGGLE DINNER TIME AND RUNNING BEFORE IT GETS ... read more

I have the same problem with fitting a run and dinner into weekday evenings. One thing I've been trying is eating an energy bar just as I leave work. I have about a 30 minute drive home during which I drink lots of water. When I get home I run or workout soon after. Then after the training a cool down period, then a late dinner.

RUN
great treadmill at the gym 1.25 mi 00:17 13:48 pace
First day with new shoes! LOVE them. Ran at the gym thanks to the rain. Treadmill felt like cheating and I had a hard time finding the right pace. Still, yay. Yay shoes.

alright neighborhood mile loop jog 1 mi 00:09:45 09:45 pace
Hurried due to a thunderstorm, probably couldn't have made it past a mile this time. 90 degrees outside. Can't wait to get better shoes.

Oh that heat is awful huh? We get it here too. Brutal. Good for you for going anyway!

great Neighborhood Loop 1.5 mi 00:17 11:20 pace
Personal record, and I sprinted the end. Felt great considering I hadn't jogged in a week. Did the route backwards this time. Silversun Pickups.

walk
good Neighborhood Loop 1.5 mi 00:30 19:58 pace
Walked the first .5 and then jogged the mile with my mom.
-
If I was doing a mile with my mom, I'd hang with her for 9 tenths and then I'd totally dust her and laugh at her and call her old.

I almost did that, BHJ. Then I got the burps from mexican food dinner and hobbled to a close. Instant karma.

walk
good Neighborhood Loop 1.5 mi 00:19 12:18 pace
Made the first mile without breaking pace. Around 12 minutes, then walk/jogged (mostly walked) the cool down .5. Felt good, nothing pooped on me. Got some good stretching in afterward.

walk
blah Bird poop loop. 1.2 mi
Made it .6 miles running, then my stupid headset got messed up, walked while I tried to fix it, ran the last .25. Then a bird pooped on my head. I wish I was making that up.

O.M.G.
I had that happen to me in high school while I was eating lunch outside. WORST THING EVER.
And you like birds!
GOOD JOB on the running. But OMG on the rest!

You'll be running a full mile in no time, bird poop or no. Hang in there!

good neighborhood mile loop jog 1.5 mi 00:18 12:00 pace
Jogged 1.15 of it and probably the last .2 or so. Right calf kind of hurts. Stretched a lot. I think I'll need new shoes if I keep this up.

good neighborhood jog 0.8 mi 00:09:15 11:33 pace
That's a record for me, sadly. But now I feel motivated to beat it.

Glad you had some time out to yourself. :) Good job getting out there. <3

Awesome Maria! I took the whole summer off, but i'm looking forward to starting my runs this week. I'm going to go sneaker-less and exclusively barefoot/low-tech run in my Vibrams. I'll let you know how that goes.
