      My rule is to NEVER run with a fever! Just push it back and rest!!

      Btw, I only did 2 weeks of taper for my 50 this year and it went great b/c I had missed some training b/c of the calf. If you training mileage/intensity hasn't been the best you can totally get by on a shorter taper.

      Thanks Julia! I was thinking I "feel" better, I'm at work, maybe I should try and get a run in today. I ran with a fever Saturday and I think that set me back more than the virus did. Will take it easy, hydrate and see how I feel Wednesday... Worse comes to worse, I'll do my 20 on the 29th after all that Turkey...

      I say definitely rest. You will be fine with a short taper. If you keep pushing, it will only set you back further. This stuff will linger longer if you run yourself down too much. It will all be good. :)

      This sounds pretty tough. But seems to me you did this slower than normal because of the illness - maybe that's why the ITB behaved?? Just a thought. Way to hang!
