You did fantastic, Marcie! Loved seeing your smiling face out there. If you want to power your Garmin longer, you can use a small external battery. I get confused on time/miles when mine dies, so this has been a great help to me.

I can't remember the brand but I bought it at Walmart for under $20. The Garmin has to be in its cradle to charge, so when it beeps low battery, I pop it onto the cradle then strap it around the loop on my Nathen up on my shoulder. Then I have a short cord that plugs into the cradle and the battery. I safety pinned a small pocket ($1 at the dollar store!) to my Nathan right below the strap and the battery fits in that. It may look odd but it worked well at Silver City.
