Birthday mile! This is something some fast guys in my area do. You have to run a mile in 5 minutes plus one second for every year old you are. So, since I turned 40 this morning my goal was 5:40. I had two friends pace me and I didn't wear my watch, just trusted them. I know my last lap was 75 seconds (smokin'). First lap was a little fast (82 seconds) so they slowed the next two down, too much unfortunately. The middle 800 was 3:15. I thought it was too slow, but I trusted my pacers. I might try this again in the next few days. Very difficult challenge.
