  3. RUN
    Y inside track 3 mi 00:28 09:21 pace

Pulled in from Ohio and made it to the Y an hour before closing to get this short interval run on the books.

  4. RUN
    Y Outside .6 mile track 9 mi 01:35 10:30 pace

Had option of 8-10 miles for this run, so I split the difference. Only smallish runs left until the big day in NYC. I'm jonesin' for the starting gun and looking forward to another advent... read more

  5. RUN
    Y outside .6 mile track 6 mi 01:05 10:50 pace

Nice and easy, steady as she goes. With a biting wind in the upper 40s, this was the first cold run of the fall season.

  6. RUN
    Y outside .6 mile track 5.5 mi 00:50 09:09 pace

Despite wind, rain, and cold I managed to turn in the best average pace at this distance in quite some time. It was an interval run (5 X 1K, 400m RI) and I opened it up on the 1K laps. Feeling stro... read more

Dandy Don Pre NYC Half Marathon 13.1 mi 02:19 10:36 pace

13.1 @ PMP Final long run before the Big Apple. Felt good for most part, though both heels are very unhappy with me right now. It's a good thing we are tapering now. Now off to Ohio...

  8. RUN
    Y outside .6 mile track 5 mi 00:52 10:29 pace

Pedestrian mid tempo run. A little sore from cross training and the speedy outing on Monday. Looking forward to the half marathon on Friday and ramping it down on the road to the Big Apple.

  9. RUN
    Y outside .6 mile track 6 mi 00:55 09:08 pace

Interval run (8 X 1/2 mile, 1:30 RI) I felt really strong on this outing, running many of the half mile sections at a sub 8:00 pace. I slowed down a bit after my right achilles started barking, but... read more

10 miles at PMP. I'm shooting for a 10:40 pace at NYC which would put me over the line at 4:40. Gorgeous day, albeit warm. Incredibly blue sky with a hint of fired tobacco in the air...

  19. RUN
    Y outside .6 mile track 6.5 mi 01:04 09:50 pace
