Thanks Michelle. Slow going, you know what that is like. But I took some advise from you and I am being proud of what I can do today, not what I was able to do 2 months ago. My back incision is still wide open but todays adventures didn't cause too much (more) drainage.

Hang in there Mandy, it will come. I can totally relate to how you feel about DM. It did the same to me. Brought me to tears many times but something in me kept making me go back for more torture. It's weird how we do things that we know will upset us. So just keep doing what you can and post it. Be proud of your accomplishments that you can achieve now.....try not to focus on what you used to do or what you want to do....but be proud of what you can get through today! Stay strong :)

Excellent idea. Any specific moves you can think of, just pass it on and I'll see if I can do them.

I would just spend an evening googling up exercises and see what appeals to you and map out your own workout plan to what your able to do and depending on what type of equipment you have at home. A good start is to checkout some of these exercise....I do a lot of them in some form or another.

Hope you are keeping your spirits up, you will be up and about soon! Are you able to do any light weights while sitting in a chair? I know from my injury, that it is important to focus on what you can do and not what you can't do. It took me a long while to adapt to that, but it did help in the end. Hope you have a great day :)

Still no improvement. I miss being able to walk on my own and most of all the quiet times when I could lace up and run.

Still taking shuffle steps. I still have no feeling in my right foot and I am relying on crutches and a walker for mobility. I don't see the surgeon again until June 18th, feeling really fru... read more

It's great that you have upper body strength. It's moments like this when you realize how important it is to have strength to hold your body weight. Try not to do too much too soon though. A gradual process will ensure you don't set yourself up for disappointment. You are doing great!
