Not very exciting, wish I could have been running. I won't be running my half marathon this weekend because of my knee so im sticking to just walking for awhile.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that you won't be able to run this weekend. I hope your knee heals up quickly. Are you sure you don't want to walk the half at least? There are a lot of people who walk in races. :)

That is what I meant, oops it sounded differently reading it. I won't be running it but I will be walking it.. I'm not sure if I will finish in time by just walking though.. makes me nervous! All of this training & I might not even get a finishers medal :[ boo

Knees are in pain. Does any one recommend me getting another long run in before my half Marathon on the 7th?? Never had a knee injury before so I'm not sure about the healing time

If your knee is in pain, I would say stop running completely for the time being. See how it feels and try some short runs if it feels better. You could even try one more long run, but not within a week of the race and you would need to stop if you experience pain.
Keep in mind I am not a physician though and as such my advice should be taken with several grains of salt. Electrolytes are important, after all!

It was okay, running a little with Jacob's stroller.. shoes came untied and I didn't warm up. Im still sore from yesterday. Shouldn't have run 2 days in a row! Better pace :]!!!!

Good job getting out there. I saw that you've had your shoelaces coming untied on you. I use those Yankz laces that you never have to tie. They are great and no more coming untied during a run.

Hi! I'm running the Princess too... my first half. I wanted to tell you that New Balance sells "bubble laces" that stay tied perfectly. I just got mine, and they're awesome! Hope this helps! Good luck!

New shoes are a great feeling! So much of running is discovering what works for you, that having new shoes is good either way. I hope they work out for you, but if they don't, you'll know what not to get next!

It depends on how you feel and what you can handle. I run two days in a row on wed/Thursday. On Wednesday I run it like a race and on thursday I run it like a 'recovery' run and go at a slower pace. You have to watch out for overuse injuries so think it through!
