My secret goal was to run a 5K in under 30 minutes, but to do that you have to actually RUN a 5K. Plus, I've never turned in a sub-10 minute run. Timing was gun start - chip finish. So, I started my Garmin when the gun went off, and not when I crossed start (not a huge delay anyway). Weather was perfect (as much as it can be at the end of July). I'm ecstatic that I made my goal!!!! Maybe 12 miles the day before is a good 5K warm-up??? :D
