    Would you believe it. Having run the Fullerton Loop 42 times without falling I decided to do an easy run around Cochrane, caught a root and took a flyer. Only thing injured was my pride.

    Bit of a rough spin around the Fullerton Loop. Bashed my big right toe on a rock and then a root. It's now all black and blue. There will be no photo.

      :( bashed my baby toe at home. No running for the past 6 weeks until this weekend. Hope yours isn't serious and heals up quick.

    After a pathetic "Recovery" run on Tuesday, I jumped back on the pony and found my Mojo. The tank was full and it was hammer time.

    Planned a 10 km "Recovery" run after yesterdays Fullerton Loops session. Reached 5 km and lost my mojo. Nothing left in the tank, the well was dry. Went home.

    Met Arthur, 79, on the trail. Everyday he heads out and gets 1,000m elevation gain/ loss. He is truly kicking butt.

    Had a killer session going around and around the "Loop" with running buddy Roy. Had to hurdle a few cows but other than that it was all up and down.

    Completed 7 Fullerton loops with running buddies Roy and Lana Ellis. It's fun saying hi to other hikers that you see time and time and time again.

    Had a blast participating in the Town of Cochrane Family Fun Run. The single track trail took us along the valley then up the ridge to the Man of Vision. Lucy, age 7, crushed it.

    Ran the Fullerton Loop 6 times with Running buddy Roy (he did it 7 Times). Lots of elevation and great training for the Golden Ultra in late September.

    Ran along the creek trail with Run Club buddies Roy and Lana. First test of my brand new Salomon XT Shigarri's. Very nice ride.

    Time to crank up the training for the Golden Ultra in late September. The 4km Fullerton Loop is perfect for single track and elevation gain / loss. Four loops completed for 700m gain.

    After two days in the mountains it was back on the familiar pathways along the mighty Bow. Running with Red Rock club buddies is always a good morning.

    What a morning traversing the alpine ridges around Lake O'Hara with Nephew Chris.
    This is the jewel in the crown of the Rockies and I got a pin for my efforts. Win-win.
