great treadmill 2.35 mi 00:28 11:59 pace

FOund a way to have fun on the treadmill =) I ran "fast". I did my first 2 miles in less than 11:35, fast for me! I also change the incline several times very slightly (1.5-2-2.5) I think this helped my legs by varying th emuscle length I was working at. I have read so many people who say that long runs and racking up the miles is the best way for a newbie to progress. But I have to take into consideration a 1 yr old who was up coughing at 5:30 am (no long am run for mama) That gives me about 30 minutes on the treadmill. I think short fast runs can be my friend, especially since sometimes they ar emy only option.
