I'm a husband, Dad to 2 awesome kids, And I get out there and run like a maniac. I've raced anything from 5K to 50mile over the last 12 years and I love to get out there and train. This year I'd love to finally qualify for Boston :)

Beth is leaving early for the day so made quick work of this one out at Grant's Trail. Started a bit before 5 and felt friggin' fantastic out there. It was muggy and between 75 and 80 degrees, YES, but I pretty much told the heat to suck it when I toed the line and I just let it rip. Flat, fast, out-and-back, sweated BUCKETS, but the legs felt loose and ready to move. Only had 1 gel, so sqeezed it into my water bottle and mixed it up...refilled once, so really just 16oz of water and 1 gel. Very surprised this was sufficient today. This is just under goal marathon pace for this fall, so many more of these to come. Definitely pleased with the result...gotta learn how to turn back to back sub 1:30's for the half-marathon if I'm gonna stomp Indy in November! Enjoy your weekend, friends!!!!!
