We walked a different route than normal just because I wanted to see how the road construction nearby was going. I've been avoiding driving on it, and a few days ago it was still tore up. Yippee! It's done! Or done enough that I can now run through there again. I've had to change it up the past month or so, and with these one mile country blocks, there's only so much you can do! Also, this is where I like to run early morning since after I run the first mile in, I hit my first street lamp. Otherwise it is black-dark when I run before sunrise, which I will be doing tomorrow. There's only maybe 6 street lamps but it helps.

    I had to start wearing my headlamp in the mornings last week. And watch for frogs ... Careful out there.

    A few years ago, I was running with my husband at sunrise. He was a little behind me and saw me come within an inch of stepping on a dead raccoon. And the subsequent freak out! 😂 My thing is to keep looking ahead because if my headlamp lights the side of the road, all I see are eyes lit up and looking back at me.
