      Computer router and modem fried Saturday. This didn't take the wind out of my sails, this past several days it was as if there was no wind for the sail. I just stopped for a couple of days. I think I am back among the living. Got my computer back.

      Today looks like one of those fantabulous Iowa days when the birds are signing, a gentle breeze is just perfect, humidity is perfect! I just want to lay back a crow at the sun. It just doesn't get any better than this. How soon I forget! :)

      Lose it is down for maintenance. Fortunately I have everything on my iPhone app. I’m sure it will all be back and good as ever. Perhaps some new features but I think it’s probably new “privacy” measures since that seems to be the trend of the day.

      Weight is up 5 pounds in two days. This has to be fluid weight. Today is the real first day of what I consider the warm season. Looking ahead for the next ten days its 70 and 80 degrees, and sunshine predicted dead ahead. It has been a long winter, but we're finally, as of today, beyond it. NIC hits the road once again.

      Today should be the last of our dreary dull days. 60 out and spitting rain now and then. Tomorrow 70's and lots of sun forecast for the next 10 days. This will be weather to continue work in the garden. Also, riding NIC in earnest for this year should begin tomorrow. FINALLY!!!!!

      Plan for tomorrow, if there’s no lightning, is to begin a Run/Walk program and start to add a “long run” each week. 2 days per week of 5 Mile runs and one day of Run/Walk for distance. Tomorrow’s distance will be only 8 or 9 miles. Wanted to get that in over the weekend but the classes got in the way. Have my eye on a 50k in November but we shall see. Won’t enter until last minute if I do.

      I’ve been meal planning with Lose it and it has really been making a difference. Take 0.6 - 0.8 x your weight for grams of protein requirements. Maintain a calorie deficit and the other macros take care of themselves. Planning ahead what you’re going to eat for the day eliminate wondering what you’re going to eat which you usually do when you’re hungry and susceptible to bad choices. Also eating out of boredom when the snacks haven’t been budgeted.

      48 and cloudy out, expect 60's today. Expect summer weather beginning next Tuesday -- FINALLY! Great Second Saturday Matinee yesterday. Slowly squeezing through this unusual welcome to spring 2018. We'll make it -- a little worse for wear, but we'll make it. Garden is in, life is slowly returning to normal -- whatever that is!!

      This weekend is fairly shot with Rita’s training. I’m pretty much on call and pulling lunch duty. I try to get in what I can but between that and the rain forecast this should be an interesting weekend followed by an interesting week. I’m focusing on macronutrient planning with my Lose it app & website and man, what a difference. I’ve been losing weight but my macros were way off. Took a very short time to feel a big difference. Shoulda been doing this all along.

      Rain, Rain outside this morning. Garden is now planted. Planting is the EASY part. I've had to rehabilitate a garden that was idle for two years while I was playin hooky! I've learned somethings over the years. This summer I will systematically continue rebuilding bins into a new design -- one bin at a time. We should have a good harvest come August. Experimenting with Kale this year -- I'll let you know how that comes out.

      Only thing I can think of is perhaps your pacemaker is sending a signal that interrupts sometimes. Might be time to look into a Polar watch or an Apple Watch. The new Apple Watch has some nice features that weren’t available before. In fact I would’ve gone with that instead of Garmin had they offered the internal gps and cellular option they do now. Of course there will be a newer version still coming out shortly.
