      So once I sat down and did the math, I am feeling better. The time and distance breaks down like this: 5 mins @ 12:49 = .39 mi warm up, 41:21 mins @ 8:58 = 4.61 mi, 2:25 mins @ 18:35 = .13 mi cool down. Need to figure out how to set the Garmin workouts up to give me the proper splits! I usually don't have my Garmin on for warm up/cool down so this had me all messed up, AND I lost track of how many laps I had done. I guess I would put in 5x1 mi steps for the 5 miles at race pace?

      Nice run loreen! So what's the training plan for? Which race is coming up? What's the weather like for you up north? Good luck with the rest of the training. What plan are you following, because that does seem like a big jump in miles unless it was a step back week last week.

      Hi Ben! We are on a wait list for a half marathon on Valentine's Day. The plan is from My Asics and 11 makes sense for 3weeks out (have another 11 next week) but the structure is phases, rather than steady build up/step back. Currently in the race simulation phase, which also explains the pace target. I am going to make sure to get in enough nutrition this week and am hoping for a better outcome. I do like the plan, though!

      Great job Loreen. I bet you could have handled that temp, seems downright warm for you this time of year. But I get wanting to limit the variables in a training run. Good luck getting into that half! Any idea when you'll hear?
