  1. RUN
good Parkway trail/Jingle Pot Road 8.2 mi 01:32 11:13 pace

And I thought Yellowknife had hills! The first 4 miles were not bad on the parkway, averaged about 10:30 pace, then we headed up Jingle Pot and there was quite a bit of walking on that half. Only o... read more

  2. RUN
    2 mi 00:22 10:58 pace

Went out with Scott on his brick run. He stopped at the house but I had to keep on up the cul de sac to make it a round 2 😃 because sometimes I'm just a little OCD that way.

  3. RUN
good Westwood Lake trail 7.09 mi 01:20 11:16 pace

Did 2 loops of the lake...side stitch at the bluffs on the first go round, but was able to shake it off, then stopped at the car for a drink. Saw Scott swimming by as I headed out for lap 2. Didn&#... read more

  5. RUN
good The loop 6 mi 00:59 09:51 pace

Nice cool day, less wind than yesterday, but decided not to do a long run today because of heavy smoke from nearby forest fires. So instead, I added 5 strides back and forth between the museum and ... read more

  6. RUN
good Con Road/Tin Can Hill 5.61 mi 00:56 09:58 pace

Could not say goodbye to Yellowknife without doing Tin Can Hill one more time. It was really windy today, 20-30 mph.

  7. Please tell me you are not THAT driver... I am running along and step down off the curb into an angle parking spot (preparing to cross the street when safe to do so), looking to my left for traffic... read more

You know, I will admit that I didn't get that sense from your description about this. I figured the driver was stalking you. Not expecting you to pass in front of them.

Not stalking Ben (at least I don't think so). When he finally got the message and I crossed the street behind him I saw he turned into the parking lot that is at the end of the row of angle parking.

alright Fast, you say? 4.01 mi 00:43 10:43 pace

Plan said 5mi fast but the weather (27C/80F at 8pm!!!) and my side stitch said otherwise. My whole torso just felt off today, sore mid to low back and tight abdomen so I figured to keep the pace ni... read more

This seems like the perfect adjustment to make. I bet that practicing relaxing through the side stitch and acclimating to the heat is every bit as beneficial in the big picture as running faster in a workout. A great use of a warm summer night.

good Here and there 4.01 mi 00:39 09:41 pace

REALLY did not feel like getting out there tonight. It was a long day and my head was pounding by the time I got home. Probably could have argued I already did cross training at work (Xerox was out... read more

I'll have to check that sound out, it doesn't sound familiar. good job forcing yourself out the door - how often is that the hardest part? Happens to me a lot. Also, I try to always take the stairs at work. I would totally count that as cross training!
