I feel sorry for you, good luck at the physical therapist, you deserve to run injury free. I hope it was not severe and you did not have to limp home, that is no fun.

Thanks, Doug. What sucks is I am pretty sure all the problems these past few weeks are from a 2-day conference on a crappy chair, resulting in misalignment in the kinetic chain.

Good run, hope that calf improves, it is so disheartening when something goes wrong, keep stretching when you can.

Crossfit? You are doing that now, or has it been some time? I've thought about it from time to time, but I'm not sure if it'd be my thing or not. I hope you are enjoying it, and great job at the track Loreen!

Hi Ben! It isn't a true Crossfit class, mostly "core and functional mobility for runner" moves to help increase endurance and strengthen to prevent injuries. Mostly body weight only. I figure I will try this for a few months, the make the switch to full Crossfit. My upper body is soooooooo weak! But I rock the squats!

Great job on your 6 mile run, so glad it did not "light up" after the run. That means it is getting better. I am just starting plantar problems. Using a rolling pin and hanging feet off stairs works the best so far.

Hi, Loreen, my heel also has never flaired up like is has this time, so I took a week off. Do all the stretches you can hanging off stairs and leaning against counters, that helps the most. Good track workout.

Wasn't even trying for that, and actually happy I forgot to turn auto-lap back on (turned it off for Wed speed work at the track) and even happier that I thought to hit the lap button at the turn around. But why did the 2nd 5k feel so much longer than the first?
