My new mantra -- who is this guy AGE that speaks in my ear telling me I'm not the man I used to be (true -- but thank God). After yesterday's solid effort (and core work) I braved the cold, rain, and chill to follow up. 1/2 mile walk to the Goodwill to drop off a carton of books. 1 mile run (downhill) to the YHMA to pick up some Mets tickets we scored through my son's Little League. 2.25 miles running/walking (uphill) using my new mantra "digging in and fighting back" on the greenbelt for some fartlek -- 3 light posts running/1 walking.
Sloth, age, and inconsistency have caused a lot of "back sliding." Age can go jump in a lake. There is no more back-sliding. I'm digging in and fighting back.
