  1. RUN
    great 26.2 mi 06:33 15:00 pace

The beginning was horrible. Wanted out at 8. The farther I went the more fun I had - and the more my feet hurt. But the memories are worth it! So proud of my teammates - you are all outstanding! I&... read more

  2. RUN
    good 20.5 mi

Not as good as last weekend - mainly because it was gray, cold - even had snow flakes. The sun makes it so much better. I'm ready. I confess to dancing to - Taper Time!

      Great Performance:

Great work, Liz! An hour-and-a-half of that stuff really tries one's patience. Fantastic dedication!

  4. FIT
    good 4 mi

Feet are a little sore from Saturday. Legs are a little tired. Feeling pumped though!

  5. RUN
    great 21 mi

Switched from 5:1 to 3:1, ran with some friends (thank you!) and it was fantastic. I am feeling good. Well - my feet hurt a little but, you know - it WAS 21 miles!

It's pain free for the runs - only doing the long run, everything during the week is cross-training. All I can ask is to get to the start relatively pain-free. I'll deal with the after - after. It's all good : )

  6. FIT
alright Arc Trainer and Deep Water Run 8 mi

Did 50+ minutes on the Arc Trainer - until my mp3 died. Then I got in the pool and managed to stick it out for about 30. Legs were tired - 3rd day in a row.

  7. FIT
    good arc trainer 4 mi

An hour on the arc trainer. Felt pretty good considering the blisters from yesterday and the soreness from PT (aka torture).

I would say an hour on the arc trainer is torture, so PT must be pretty tough! Way to hang in there and keep up with your training!

  8. RUN
    alright 16 mi

Tried a new thing - run/walk at 5:1 - trying to take it easy on the knee. It did help. The knee got stiff but not too bad. The foot was fine. Feeling much more positive.

About an hour on the arc trainer today. Pressed for time. This was yesterday's workout that I just couldn't do - too tired yesterday.

    alright

An hour on the arc trainer and 1/2 hour pool running - as in running in water 3-4 feet deep. Was gonna deep water run - but the pool, used by kids too, was mysteriously "closed". Ugh.

  11. RUN
    good 4.5 mi

On the road for the first time in a while. Felt pretty good - a little knee pain on a couple of downhills.

Nice work, Liz! Sorry to hear you're battling some injury woes; I can certainly relate. Pool running is a great alternative, as are the other activities you've been doing. Hang in there! Six more weeks! :)

I didn't really enjoy the run - except for the last mile - which makes no sense because it was uphill. Another checked box.
