10X800m repeats. Speed work was a bit harder this week, but I hit all my splits exactly where I wanted them. In fact, I found some notes from last year (before Long Beach) and my splits today were consistently better. If Bart Yasso is correct, I should be in good shape to run my marathon goal pace. Once again, I still had juice in the tank for the last interval and ran my fastest one of the day at the end! My repeats were 3:32, 3:35, 3:37, 3:40, 3:34, 3:33, 3:31, 3:37, 3:33, 3:24. With the warm-up and cool-down, it ended up being a long workout--all done before 7 a.m.!
