The 6th street hill was tough, but I felt pretty good by the time I got back to my car.


Let me see if I understand. You ran 5 miles before the race started, then you ran the 8K race. You ended with another 5 miles?

Yup! I had planned on running 16 miles today. When I decided to run the race last night, I thought I would combine the race with my long run. I think that will be my tempo run for the week. Five mile warm up, five mile tempo, and five mile cool down. It was great!

you definitely will run at 9:03! You are already running 9:17 miles and you have a newborn. Remember, my youngest is three and I am not nursing etc. etc. I bet you'll be running 9's consistently this time next year.
