I had 16 miles on my schedule, so I needed to get an additional 6 miles in--by myself. I was a little bummed that I forgot my iPod, but it ended up being better than I thought it would be. I did Peters Canyon-the hard way. I ran around the lake, running up the two hills on the back side. I then ran up Big Red. Well, I ran and walked Big Red. For training purposes, I timed it and it took 2:34. I ran the ridgeline and then back up the center road. The last mile or so was pretty tough. My legs were toast. It was 16 TOUGH miles on the trails. But after a protein drink and a donut, I felt great. We'll see how I feel tomorrow. I switched my shoes after the first 10 miles and I definitely prefer my Pure Grit on the trails.

    I park at Albertsons. I have parked at the park before, but I hate to pay for parking. I have also parked at Cedar Grove park, but it is much further for me to drive. Albertsons works for us. That way we can do both Irvine Park and Peters Canyon. Today I did both!
