I forgot to charge my Garmin, so my distance is an estimate. It was a 7 mile loop, but I took a little detour (aka got lost). I joined the Southern California Trail Headz running group for their new member run. It was a nice run, even though I ran m... read more

Lisa ran 5 miles in 49 mins goodOC Chili Trail Run Series #2 – 5 mi / 00:49 09:53 pace
This is the second race in a series of three. I ran it almost a minute faster than last time (although it felt like I should have finished even faster than that). The weather was cool and perfect for running. Heidi ran really strong. She ran it at ... read more

I was really tired. I got out of bed to meet the girls at 6. I got there and nobody was meeting. That was ok... I brought my iPod and was glad that I forced myself out for a run. I thought I would run four or five miles, but I just wasn't feeling i... read more

Lisa ran 6 miles alrightneighborhood – 6 mi
I was pretty tired and it was COLD. I am glad I was running with the girls today, or I probably would have stayed in bed. Kandi, the beginner of the group, pushed the hardest and ran when the rest of us were walking. It was a nice, easy run....

I wish I had gone with you this morning...I was just up so late and sooooooo tired! That is 2 days in a row I slacked so I really need to get on it tomorrow!

We didn't do the speed workout. By the time I met Kelly, it was too late, so we went up to the church to meet the others. We'll do a workout next week.

Lisa ran 15.56 miles in 3 hours and 11 mins and 12 secs great 15.56 mi / 03:11 12:17 pace
It was one of the most fun races I have ever run. It was hard (3000 feet of total elevation gain), but I really enjoyed it. I especially loved crossing a thigh deep river and stomping through puddles in the single track. The views were breathtaking.

Lisa ran 12 miles goodSanta Ana River – 12 mi
It was a nice run with the girls. We ran and chatted along the river. It was perfect running weather. Heidi was hurting a bit, so on the way back I ran/walked with her. I didn't want to push myself. I have a 25K tomorrow, so a long run the day bef... read more

Hill repeats with the girls and then a nice run up Nohl Ranch Road and back. The hill repeats felt good! Next week, we need to do more... longer intervals, more intervals and higher intensity. Today was just to break everyone in. LOL.

I think next Wednesday is a good day. Wednesday is a good day for high intensity workouts...it gives you time to recover from last weekend's run and gives you enough time to recover for next weekend's run.

Lisa ran 5.77 miles in 1 hour and 9 mins and 7 secs goodneighborhood – 5.77 mi / 01:09 11:58 pace
It was a slow hilly run. I started out with Kelly and we had a nice leisurely run up Nohl Ranch Road. Then we met Lori and Candi to run another 40 minutes or so. We took it very easy, since Candi is just starting out. It worked out nicely, since I ... read more

Lisa ran 6 miles goodSanta Ana River Trail – 6 mi
It started out nice, with a bit of light rain here and there. I was feeling a bit sluggish after no running since the race last Saturday. I alternated between running more quickly with Rod and a bit more slowly with the girls. As were running back t... read more

Lisa ran 13 miles in 2 hours and 46 mins goodWinter Trails Run Series 21K – 13 mi / 02:46 12:46 pace
It is hard to put into words a race like this. It was really hard, but completely enjoyable. Despite feeling pretty sore and tired toward the end, I had a great run. The scenery, the difficult terrain and camaraderie among runners was unforgettable.

Trail races scare me LOL!

I was really nervous before the race. But once I started running (and walking in a lot of the uphill parts), it was great. I was a little nervous about twisting an ankle or falling down completely, but I was able to stay on my feet. I will definitely be doing more of these. There is so much less pressure. You can't really go for a PR, because they are all different. You just run and enjoy it.
