Jumped on the treadmill for .25 mi. warmup then .5 mile intervals at an 8 min. mile with .25 mile jogs in between. Felt strong but a long way to go if I want to shave 5 min. off my half marathon time.

Very nice! Well done!

You can do it! And with a little luck, you'll have cooler weather come race day. That'll help quite a bit too.

Keep up the hard work. It'll payoff come race day!

Great speed work! When is your 1/2? You can shave 5 minutes off! There's a lot of "energy" that comes on race day that can push you through to do some amazing things. Plus, weather is a factor, as is the course. Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys. The half marathon isn't until November, so I have time. Unfortunately, I'm not in nearly the shape I was at my last 1/2, so I actually have to get back to my original time and shave 5 minutes, Let's hope for normal Nov. temps rather than the 85 degrees we got on race day last year.

Nice speed work, Lisa. A great way to get a good workout in a short time, too!

Which half are you doing? San Antonio hometown race again? Nice intervals workout, Lisa!

Yep, Tom. San Antonio it is. I think Mike is going to do a half in another state this year, so It's cheaper to keep it close to home for me :) I'll have my turn next year.
