Today's Swim: Shoulders
Lung Strengthening: 3 laps
Butterfly Stroke, no legs: 1 lap
Butterfly Stroke: 5 laps
Freestyle Transitions
Freestyle Stroke: 3 laps
With the new nose clips, I am getting much more confident in my lungs and strokes. I did the FARTHEST underwater pulls today with just one breath using the clips.. Before, my farthest was a half lap (~12.5 yds) and I was able to make it about 20 yards in my very first breath of the session! Also, my nose was what was holding me back from practicing most of the wall transitions, but with the clips, I finally asked Kev to teach me the basic flip-push wall transition for the freestyle stroke. We spent a good 15 minutes just getting me to perfect the move.. I know I still have room for improvement, but I am really proud of my progress today!!
