so how exactly is cross fit run? is it a class or they assign you a workout and u do it independently?

about 1 month ago Like1 person

    • Lindsay H.

It can be done either way. You can go to Crossfit specific classes where with a group you go through the day's workout (WOD = Workout of the Day). They usually do some sort of lift to start followed by a WOD which is generally a fast paced do as much as possible in a set amount of time.

You can also find many at-home WODs that can be done, well, at home - i.e. ones that don't require some of the more specialized equipment (http://laxcrossfit.com/home-wods/ for example)

Crossfit is interesting to me but I know I'd have to be careful as it is a programme that you can hurt yourself...something I've done pretty well on my own lols.

    • Lindsay H.

Pretty much with any weight/strength training though you can hurt yourself if you're not using proper form. Plus everything is scale able so you don't have to lift heavy if you don't want to (or can't) or modify workouts with similar activities. I prefer doing it with the classes mostly because then you have the coaches right there watching your form

I have had 2 pairs of those (and just got the updated ones) and find they run a tiny bit big. Maybe that's why they rub?

about 1 month ago Like1 person

    • Lindsay H.

@Sara I have heard the exact opposite - they run small! The size seems okay though, I can definitely not go smaller or the toe box will be too small - I was actually debating if I needed a half size /bigger/. I didn't really feel the rubbing tonight - it may have been the top of the shoe and the top of my socks were lining up for a little extra pressure, or maybe they just need a little to break them in.
