    Insanity

Hi guys! I haven't been checking in here lately, but am still working on Insanity. Month 1 is finished, I'm on a recovery week and will start month 2 next week.

    Insanity fit test

I actually improved on almost everything since day 1. This better help with running and biking because it sure is a lot of work!

  3. FIT

I completed day 10 of insanity yesterday and should get through day 11 after work today. If I can force myself into shorts when it's in the teens below zero outside, that is. No missed workout... read more

    Insanity

Today I started week 2 of Insanity. Can I just say, ouch.
But it seemed like it went better than last week, so maybe that's progress.

  5. RUN
    alright 1.25 mi 00:13:00 10:24 pace

I told myself I'd run a mile, then decided to go an extra quarter. Temps in the low teens here and it's dark by the time I'm home from work. So it was treadmill.

  6. RUN
    Treadmill 2.35 mi 00:24 10:12 pace

It was alright. I'm trying to get back into it.

You're so funny! I did a leisurely 1.25 this evening. The thing is, I just don't love the treadmill. I did buy Insanity and have watched the fitness test. The plan is to start that Monday next week. Hoping to fit some running and riding in to the schedule as well though. Looks like you're staying pretty busy!

It went fine. But I have lost speed and endurance. Sitting on the couch thinking about going for a run will do that to you. I ordered the Insanity DVDs today, thinking that improving my overall fit... read more

Yes. Sign up for a race!!!! Half mary should be fun and very do-able since you're an experienced marathoner! :-) Less training time too. Before your race day arrives, make sure you have another one lined up! (And yes, I'm serious!)

It is a cool award, but I have no idea who really should have gotten it. It wasn't from the runners world challenge group, we took 6th or something there. Apparently they got my name mixed in somewhere that it didn't belong. Weird, but a very nice souvenir!

LeAnn, you did it!! I have to say, you looked a little rough at the finish and I was sort of worried about you. But you did it, you survived, and you're feeling better today! I hope you and your daughter had a good weekend together, and that you made it home safely.

Just remember Leann - when you hit bottom you have no where to go but up. Forget about this run and look back at all your others, where you did great and felt good! And weather DOES make a big difference - good for you for toughing it out!
